The Egg Hen Ark 4 (All In One) represents the perfect introduction into rearing chickens. Manufactured with quality materials including seasoned 10mm thick fir board that in turn is screwed onto a strong & durable frame.
Superb attention to detail and packed with features the "Egg Ark 4" will provide your chickens with a secure & happy home. Suitable for upto 4 birds. We use top quality mineral felt roof. Superb attention to detail and packed with neat chicken friendly features. The side of the coop has a large doorway with an access ramp to make it as easy as possible for your birds to get in and out effortlessly as well as a sliding door on the coop run to lock them in at night. We have also added a slide out dirt tray at the front for easy cleaning and to stop the build up of bacteria.
We have added an extra sliding door to the side to allow you to lock your hens in at night which is also an important feature of this coop, another added bonus is the coop roof lifts up. The wood is treated using a water based anti fungicidal animal & environment friendly stain. This coop comes complete with nest box, 2 perches & 1 divider.

Product Maintenance:
Our wooden coops are treated with a base coat of animal friendly wood preservative stain inside and out. It is important that your wooden coop is cleaned out and treated regularly. We recommend a high quality wood preservative, varnish, roof sealer or water replant be applied within the 1st month and or before heavy rain, paying particular attention to all roof edges, eves as well as all joints. Otherwise the wood may dry out, become brittle, warped or start to look unsightly. We recommend applying further coats of wood preserver if the coop is to be left outside. Please make sure that you use non-toxic animal friendly products.
To make sure your coop stays looking great, it is a good idea to position it in a protected area which is not exposed to the elements.
No claims will be accepted for products that have been neglected, left without protection and not maintained.

Excellent service. Ordered on Thursday evening and was delivered Monday morning. Easy to assemble with the instructions provided, but with an unusual point (I thought) and that is the screwing down of a hinged top to the run. Other than that, it is a great coop and run for three birds especially in an area that has foxs. It fulfills all the recommended criteria suggested by the British Hen Welfare Trust and other sites. Have taken on board the suggestion of the paper on the droppings tray (thanks JD) and took it a step further by putting down some sticky backed pastic on the base of the tray to protect it further. As said light weight and easy to move. thanks for a good product at a decent price. |

21.03.2011 After loads of research finally chose this four chicken coop and it arrived the day after ordering. Brilliantly packaged, my husband assembled it without using one expletive and was really impressed with the quality and the fixings. The chickens have been in it 2 days now and the only problem so far seems to be one perch coming off, this may be the chickens being a bit boisterous while they sort out their pecking order but it's easy to slot back in place. Would definitely recommend the coop, however if you are not intending to let your hens free range then I think adding an additional run is a must. The single run is sized for four birds but does seem really small if they are going to shut in all day. Charity, Devon |

I've just bought one of these for my four hens. It was easily assembled, single-handed, from flat-pack. Parts all there, guide-holes all in correct place, light enough to carry into place, I am very happy with it. I suggest a sheet of newspaper on the droppings tray to assist cleaning.
